It grants degrees in engineering and other subjects.<\/p><p>After the Institution of Tirana, the Polytechnic University of Tirana is Albania&#8217;s oldest and second biggest university.<\/p><p>It was established in 1951 and presently has over 10,000 students from Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro, and North Macedonia. In 2012, on the occasion of Albania&#8217;s 100th anniversary of independence, President Bujar Nishani bestowed a high honor badge to UPT.
