Porto Palermo Bay was an important strategic submarine station at the time, and it was utilized as a maintenance shelter. The tunnel is around 12 meters long and 650 meters deep into the rocks.<\/p><p>Although the bunker is no longer in operation, it is still a military restricted zone, and visitors are not permitted to enter.
